The Great East Japan Earthquake, which occurred on March 11, 2011, caused
devastating damages to the Tohoku region. Rikuzentakata in Iwate prefecture,where
the application 乬A Miracle Tree乭 is set, was one of the areas hardest hit.
Massive tsunami waves spread out along the long bow-shaped coastline of
Rikuzentakata and hit Takatamatsubara. But when the waters of the tsunamis
retreated, all but one single pine tree had been washed away. People named
this pine tree 乬A Miracle Tree乭, and it became a symbol of the reconstruction.
This is how the original idea of 乬A Miracle Tree乭 came about.
Proceeds from the purchase of 乪A Miracle Tree乫 will be handled by Miracle
Tree Web Committee, then after the costs of distribution are deducted all
of the money raised through the sales of this app will be donated to organizations
working to protect the children of Fukushima from radiation and to organizations
directly involved in the reconstruction. Thank you very much in advance
